Not just another saturday night at LuWow

Last night was my close girlfriend T's birthday bash, so after my sister and her boyfriend kindly offered us a lift to Brunswick St we took the opportunity to say thank you by stopping in to a bar on Nicholson St for a drink. After walking past about 10, all of which were jam packed, we were adamant we would just slip into the next one along the strip. Much to our delight it was LuWow, a tiki village inspired bar. We walked in and this is what we saw:

While the cocktails are pretty expensive, for example, this (see below) was a 2 person cocktail and cost $40...

It was delicious though and they do say, it's all about the experience.

My outfit last night was a bit of a rushed shamble but it includes: Zara Shirt & Shorts, Witchery Blazer and Venetian Satchel along with a touch of YSL (ring).

Overall, what a night, it was great we ended up having dinner at Pireus Greek Restaurant on Brunswick St and hitting up some pubs after that.

'flower garden on acid'

I don't know how much more I could possibly rave on about Josh Goot. He is just truly inspirational. His floral inspired spring collection has been described as 'a flower garden on acid' and that it is. His collection boasts colourful rose motif's, collages and strong lines. It is so interesting to stare at and study, the eye notices something different at each glance. Its safe to say, its spectacularly 'dope'.

The real question is... are Josh Goot and Christina Centenera really dating?

If so, I love it, he designs killer clothes and she kills it!!!

Port Fairy

Here are some photos my amazing boyfriend & graphics designer, Daniel (instagram squizzierussel) took for me on our easter getaway to Port Fairy. First of all the light house in Port Fairy is quite spectacular and it also boasts a killer surf break. The pubs are cosy and homely, the beaches are beautiful but all in all its a very small little town and I wouldn't recommend staying longer than 2-3 days.

Colour Bug

Ever since I read the March 2011 issue of Vogue featuring model Abbey Lee who was photographed sporting a pink balayage, I have been hooked. I have tried paint box's pink moon which washes out within 3-4 washes depending on how bleached you hair is but this is something new I have recently discovered which is not so much of a commitment.

The Colour Bug.. Please watch for a demonstration

Fur ball

After selling both my op shop fur's at the camberwell market in light of my dwindling bank account. I was feeling a little disheartened about my winter wardrobe, that was until my recent purchase from my work (Green With Envy) of this season's Watson & Watson Collared Drape Jacket in plum. While it was a big investment, a lot more than my op shop fur's and the return I got from selling them combined, It was worth it. What I like about this fur jacket is that unlike the over bearing structure & shoulder pads often seen in vintage furs, this gem is knitted rabbit fur which is weaved into a soft cardigan like jacket.

check it out.

Green With Envy's own label Nicholas has also recently just released a similar fur jacket in an array of different colours including malt, teal, black & burgundy. These can be seen below modelled by my beautiful friend Jaquie.

Tartania

I bought these tartan trousers for a whopping $2.99 at the Frankston Savers. Much to my delight they have been hand crafted, which has left the trousers with one leg tighter than the other. Wearing with the trousers, a witchery singlet, kurt geiger heels and a venetian satchel.
